“Hospices de Dieu” is an exquisite old hospital which has been transformed into a museum and; apart from wine, is Beaune’s main touristic attraction. The building; especially its well-decorated roof top, is strikingly beautiful but If the architecture is not enough to stimulate a visit, there is a charity wine auction being held in this place, every November. Considering that Beaune is the wine-capital of the Burgundy region, Thou shalt not miss this event!

Thanks Pierre.
In fact I saw the bleeding dishes. It is a fascinating building. The only sad part was that the place had been designed to prepare people to die, not to bring them back to health!
I have some more pictures from there which I will gradually upload.

Yes, but it was also build on Wine!!!!! That is why I didn’t feel so bad buying some Hospice de Beaune when I went! I figured it was an act of charity!
