To my humble opinion, the tiny city of Sintra; which is located just half an hour of train-ride away from Lisbon, is one of the most beautiful places on earth! This UNSECO’s world heritage town is right in the middle of a national park, has a lovely city center, a beautiful palace (Royal Palace) right in the middle of it and two others, one Moorish and one romantic, colorful fairy-tale castle (Pena), looking down on it.
If you are ever in Lisbon, don’t you dare overlooking Sintra!
