For people visiting Old Montreal (both tourists and residents), it is not easy to find a decent, yet decently-priced meal. “Olive et Gourmando”, conveniently located at the heart of Old Montreal, is a wonderful place where you can pair a great meal with a nice glass of wine at a surprisingly affordable price. And if you’re faced with a long line if front of it – not unusual at all – another nice and affordable place is right in front of it, where you can have a hearty peasant style French cuisine, served by some waiters whom – I guess- have been expelled from France, because they were too friendly to their customers!
