I returned from my week-long trip to Istanbul. I found this year’s “European capital of culture” to be one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. Though not as neat and picturesque as Paris or Prague, Istanbul has such a unique and distinctive character that makes her stand out tall. This magnificent city charms you, surprises you and even occasionally, makes you laugh.
In the next couple of days, I will try to share parts of my experience with you, through my Istanbul’s photo album. I wish there was a better way to convey the pleasurable experience of sitting in a cafe on the Galata bridge, listening to the sound of Bosporus, sipping freshly brewed tea and smoking unrivaled apple-flavored Nargila while watching the sun going down behind the mosque of “Suleyman the Magnificent”!
