Tonight, around 10 PM, I will officially leave the marketing age bracket of “26 to 34”!
Looking back at this period of eight years – which incidentally, fully overlapped my life in diaspora! – I shouldn’t feel anything but utter satisfaction! After all, within this period I obtained two Master’s Degrees, a bartending certificate and a Canadian Passport, while I managed to remain employed, almost throughout the age bracket! I held a Photography exhibition and I launched my Photo Website. I found number of incredible new friends, visited more than 50 cities around the globe, enjoyed countless exhilarating new experiences, and in exchange of all that, I have no more than a single regret!
Nonetheless, the end of an era is always entangled with mix feelings: The sense of nostalgia for what I’m leaving behind against the excitement of what I might find along the way. And amidst the childish fear of leaving a familiar territory and even more childish chill of entering an unknown terrain, I surrender another year of my life in exchange of new possibilities!
In fairness, I have no choice but to accept the deal, so I might, as well, enjoy it!
