Trapped between 300,000 protesters – some of them preparing themselves to get violent – and Rome’s disorganized and stressed out riot police, we took shelter in Santi Cosma e Damaino, a cute church close to the Colosseum. Fortunately, after about 4 hours the riot police let us pass the siege.
